About Word Scramble
Word Scramble is a free word scramble game: the letters of a hidden word are shuffled on tiles, and you drag across them in the right order to spell it before the timer runs out. Pick one of 28 categories, from Animals, Food & Drink and Colours to Space, Countries and Science, or press Random and let the game choose.
Every word is played against the clock, and five words make a level. Solve words in a row to build a streak, beat the timer with time to spare for a Super Fast call-out, and finish a level to earn coins. Stuck? A hint drops one letter into its slot, and if time runs out you get one second chance per level with extra seconds and a free letter.
There are 1,141 words in all. Each category starts with short words and builds up to long ones, so later levels need more thinking, and every category has its own backdrop tint and floating emoji. Coins are shared across TinyJar Games and buy tile themes plus Extra Time, Hint Pack and Coin Bonus upgrades. It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. Emoji art is Twemoji, CC BY 4.0.

How to play Word Scramble
- Press Play and choose a word category.
- Drag across the letter tiles, in order, to spell the hidden word, then let go.
- A correct word moves you on; a wrong one clears your letters so you can try again.
- Spell five words before each clock runs out to finish the level and collect coins.

Tips
- Look for common endings such as -ER, -ING and -ION before you start dragging.
- The empty slots under the tiles tell you how long the word is; the category tells you what it is about.
- Save hints for long words; short words are usually quicker to try than to hint.
- Extra Time is the best first upgrade if the clock keeps beating you.
