Cleaner Run is a satisfying cleaning runner game where speed comes from choosing the right tool. You race a rival cleaner down a messy street split into sections of scattered junk, muddy footprints and piles of dust. A vacuum, a mop and a broom sit at the bottom of the screen; switch to the one that fits the mess ahead and you sweep through at full speed, pick the wrong one and you slow to a crawl.

Every level is a new course built from its level number: four sections at the start and up to twelve later, in a new order each time, with coins to pick up along the way. Your rival picks its own tool for every section and gets it right more often, and runs faster, as the levels go up. Every fifth level is a Coin Rush where coins count double, and every three levels the street moves somewhere new: downtown, the beach front, a garden party, the night shift, temple gardens, a ski lodge, the boardwalk, a desert diner and a harvest fair.

Coins buy real characters to clean as (Sporty, Skater, Lifeguard, Soldier, Night Owl and Zombie), outfit colours and three upgrades: Turbo Start, Fast Shoes and Coin Bonus. Lose a race and you can race again once, with your rival sent back behind you. Cleaner Run works on phones, tablets and computers with no download.

How to play Cleaner Run

1. Tap Start. Your cleaner runs forward on her own.
2. Look at the mess coming up: junk and boxes, muddy footprints, or dust.
3. Tap the vacuum, the mop or the broom at the bottom of the screen to pick the tool that fits.
4. The right tool makes you run faster through that section; the wrong one slows you down.
5. Reach the finish line before your rival to win the level.

Tips

• Switch tools before you reach a section, not once you are in it; every second on the wrong tool costs ground.
• Junk and boxes want the vacuum, muddy prints want the mop, and dust wants the broom.
• Watch the rival: on later levels it rarely picks the wrong tool, so every section counts.
• Coin Rush levels pay double for every coin on the street, so stay in the middle of the lane.
• Turbo Start is a cheap first upgrade that helps you open a gap at the start of every race.
